BIOGRAPHY:

 Green Acre Real Estate was conceived and launched by Broker/Owner Josh Aberson.

Josh is a South Dakota native, born and raised in Sioux Falls.  He graduated from Lincoln High School 02′ and then Augustana College 06′ with a BA in Business, and International Studies/German.  Shortly there after, he and his wife Christie Aberson (Koehler), also a Sioux Falls native, were married and moved to Phoenix, AZ where Josh studied to receive a Masters in Recording Arts from the Conservatory of Recording Arts & Sciences 07′.  Post grad, Josh and his wife Christie spent some time living and working in Los Angeles with a career in the production side of the music & tv/film industry.  This was an incredible time with exciting prospects, high energy, and often crazy working relationships as you can imagine.  However after having spent numerous years throughout college, grad school, and post grad work living and working as a family all throughout the world, South Dakota was always meant to be home.  So in 2008, they returned to their Sioux Falls roots to pursue other business ventures.  In 2008 Josh received his Broker Associates license and actively sold for a local company before launching Green Acre Real Estate, a boutique technology real estate company, in the Spring of 2011.

Green Acre is a new and innovative real estate brokerage.  It’s based on Josh’s experience and ideals that consumers deserve a certain level of quality when it comes to their real estate experience.  It’s developed around thinking outside the box, through new and innovative strategies, to provide clients with the highest level of value in the industry.
At the end of the day, Josh believes that real estate is a matter of effort.  You as a consumer seek a relationship to choose your real estate representative, and what you receive from that representative is simply just varying degrees of effort.  Hopefully the agent you seek and hire, whether you’re related to them, know them from church, or are referred to them through your social circle, provides you with that level of effort you expect.  Josh’s goal through Green Acre is to make sure that every part of your real estate experience has a purpose.  A purpose to ensure that that question of effort, is in fact never a question at all.  That effort can be displayed in hundreds of different ways.  Say you’re a buyer out searching for homes in the car, did your agent provide you with a way to access property information on the go?  How about you’re a seller that can’t seem to get any activity on your house, does your agent have a plan outside of a price drop?  No matter what the situation, buyer or seller, your entire real estate experience is a process, one that needs a plan, to ensure you’re valuing our efforts.  A plan that ensures that we wake up every morning, come to the office and think, “What can we do to help better the process for you the consumer?”  Then we start working, developing strategies, and a plan to achieve that question.

Outside of work, Josh loves spending time with his family  (wife Christie and puppy Winston).  He participates in various organizations around Sioux Falls like Junior Achievement, Celebrate Church, YMCA, or one of the many projects surrounding the downtown restoration and growth initiatives.

He and his wife love to travel having lived in Phoenix, LA, and Europe, as well as vacationing all throughout the world.  Josh loves learning and experiencing other cultures and areas.  He has every state and nearly every country in the world as a goal to visit.  Being currently at 34 countries and 46 states, it’s possible….
